Vegan tuna

Veganer Thunfisch

Vegan tuna - a delicious fish substitute that melts in your mouth!

It might sound absurd, but this vegan tuna definitely has the potential to change your mind about plant-based alternatives. This recipe uses a combination of chickpeas, nori seaweed, and spices to create a meaty, salty, and satisfying flavor that tastes almost like the real thing. Whether you're vegan or simply looking for new taste experiences, this dish is an absolute must-try. And the best part? It's easy to prepare and contains no animal products.

1 hour, 2 servings

Ingredients :

  • 1 watermelon (diced)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 sheet of nori seaweed
  • 2.5 tablespoons of neutral-tasting oil (e.g., olive oil, sunflower oil, etc.)
  • 1/2 seed pad of kale microgreens

Preparation :

  1. Peel the watermelon and cut it into large cubes.
  2. For the marinade, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, nori seaweed, and oil, and store in the refrigerator. Let the watermelon cubes marinate in it for 1 to 6 hours.
  3. Reserve the remaining marinade and place the marinated watermelon cubes on a baking sheet. Bake the cubes at 150°C for 1-1.5 hours. Dip the watermelon cubes first in the remaining marinade and then in sesame seeds.
  4. Serve the vegan "tuna" salad with half a pad of kale microgreens.
